Hopefully, most of you people have now listened to our first episode of The Amazing Adventures of Captain Quick! and are getting ready for the next one. I mean, why wouldn't you? It has been a turbulent few days after the release of the series. Most notably for my scandalous past being brought up again, (which I have apologized time and time again to the people of Finland for) the show's outright ban in Uruguay, and the hashtag campaign #CancelCaptainQuick. I like to think of myself as someone who is open to criticism but it's hard to understand given the feedback we've been given.
I don't really know what that means. It is a nice feeling that famous people are talking about it. Even if it is out of disgust. However, we would obviously enjoy it more if they did too. Tons of first episodes have been met with disdain. The War of Worlds radio broadcast caused widespread panic. The night of Seinfeld's premier, President George HW Bush started the Gulf War. The Golden Girls fourth episode was halted due to a string of riots against the show in Miami. In the end, these shows have become successful and maybe that's because there wasn't much else to do back then. Now there is twitter and 140 characters to help pass the time.
I would honestly like to know what the fuss is with the show. Maybe YOU can figure it out. So, take a listen and share with your friends to see what they think about it and be ready for next week when Captain Quick and the gang visit the uncharted island of Amazonia.
